If AI can do it all, do I still need a marketer?

The short answer

When execution gets cheap, every brand publishes more and the whole market gets noisier. Volume stops being a differentiator. What cuts through is the human leap: connecting two things nobody has connected before, then using AI to execute it quickly.

Everyone got faster at the same time

AI made producing content cheap, so every brand in your category is producing more of it. Saturation goes up across the board. What broke through two years ago quietly stopped working, and what works today won't last as long as you'd like.

Why volume isn't the answer

You can't out-publish a market where everyone can publish endlessly. That race has no finish line and no advantage at the end of it. Spending more to make more of the same thing is the most expensive way to stay invisible.

What still cuts through

The unexpected connection. Noticing that your customers keep using the same odd phrase in their reviews, or that the people booking you in March all have one thing in common, and building something around it. Machines are very good at surfacing signals. Connecting two unrelated signals into an idea nobody's had yet is still human work.

The bottom line

Let AI lower the cost of execution. Keep the thinking, the taste, and the creative risk for yourself. Those are the parts your competitors can't download.
